Welcome to Tavvik Teaches!

Located at 941/2 Queen Street, Tavvik Teaches offers a variety of services to educate children and encourage a love of learning and the environment.

Tavvik Teaches has provided tutoring, eco-camps and eco-parties since 2009. March 2011 saw Tavvik Teaches expand into Tavvik Teaches Kids, a Montessori-based, eco-friendly preschool.

Run by Jennifer Heaton, B.A., M.Sc.Ed OCT, Tavvik Teaches hopes to encourage children’s innate love of learning and curiosity in the world around them through a unique form of education based on respect for nature.

Jennifer has over 20 years experience working with children in a teaching capacity, including nine years as a teacher with the District School Board of Niagara. Currently on leave to care for her son, Jennifer’s last position was Geography Department Head at Niagara District Secondary School.
